Paste a list of links or import a file, and the generator lays up to 1,500 codes out on print-ready sheets with captions. Download a PDF, SVG or PNG.
Price tags, box labels, tickets, flyers, badges and passes are made here and then printed on an office printer.
The form at the top of the page is set up for an A4 sheet. If your paper is US Letter, switch the format in step 2, then paste the list and click "Download PDF".
Eight pages go into the details: printing QR codes on a sheet, QR codes from Excel, Wi-Fi QR codes, contact card QR codes, vector QR codes in SVG, QR codes as PNG images, DataMatrix codes on sheets and Code128 barcodes.
Two articles to read before the print run: what size to give a QR code for the scanning distance, and why free QR codes stop working while the static codes from this page keep your own link inside.
At a code size of 2 cm, an A4 sheet holds 40 QR codes without captions, in a 5×8 grid. With captions it holds 35. US Letter holds 35 without captions and 30 with them. Change the code size or the margins, and the grid and the preview update right away.
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit either.
Download the PDF and print it at 100% scale ("Actual size"). Turn off "Fit to page": the sheet already has its own margins. Plain 80 g/m² (20 lb) paper and any office printer will do, laser or inkjet. Print one sheet, scan it with your phone, and only then print the whole run.
The PDF is a finished sheet layout in the format you chose. SVG sheets suit graphic editors. Both formats are vector, so the edges stay sharp at any print size. Two more outputs give a separate SVG or PNG for every QR code. Those files suit documents, slides and marketplace listings, and the file name carries the number and the caption.
Paste the list into the field, one link per line, or import a TXT, CSV or Excel file. One run makes up to 1,500 QR codes. The generator checks every line and shows an error report with line numbers.
The generator does not count scans. If your site has Google Analytics or another analytics tool, add a UTM tag to the links, and visits from the codes show up among the traffic sources. In step 1, on the "Links" tab, click "Add UTM or put values into a template" and paste an address with {value} into the "Link template" field. The generator puts each line of the list in place of {value}, so the tag goes into all links at once.
Type the caption after the link, with a space between them, for example "https://example.com Table 5", or import a CSV or Excel file with two columns: link and caption. A caption of up to 100 characters is printed under the QR code in the PDF and the SVG sheets. In the per-code SVG and PNG files it goes into the file name. The generator rejects a longer caption and names the line. A caption wider than the code is cut with an ellipsis.
Besides links, the generator makes QR codes with plain text, phones, SMS, email, Wi-Fi and contact cards. EAN-13 barcodes, DataMatrix and Code128 have tabs of their own. A phone reading such a code offers to dial the number, write the email, join the network or save the contact. Switch the tab above the input field.
Set the code color and the background color under "Fine tuning" below step 2. The preview, the PDF and the SVG all use them. The generator checks the pair and rejects it if the code is not darker than the background or the contrast is below 4:1.
Upload a PNG or JPG up to 256 KB in step 2 "Look and size". Every code gets the logo in the middle, on a patch of the background color. The generator switches to the highest error correction level (H) on its own, so the codes stay readable.
Step 2 has the sheet format: A4, A3, A5, A6 or US Letter. Orientation is there too, portrait or landscape. At a 2 cm code size without captions, A4 holds 40 codes, US Letter holds 35 and A3 holds 96.
Do not print smaller than 2×2 cm. Above that size, go by distance: make the side of the code about one tenth of the scanning distance, so a code read from 2 m needs a side of about 20 cm. For a sign on a wall, the form has an 8 cm (3.1 in) preset.
